Instagram

Instagram is a simple way to capture and share the world’s moments. Follow your friends and family to see what they’re up to, and discover accounts from all over the world that are sharing things you love. Join the community of over 500 million people and express yourself by sharing all the moments of your day––the highlights and everything in between, too.

Use Instagram to:

* Post photos and videos you want to keep on your profile grid. Edit them with filters and creative tools and combine multiple clips into one video.
* Share multiple photos and videos (as many as you want!) to your story. Bring them to life with text and drawing tools. They disappear after 24 hours and won't appear on your profile grid or in feed.
* Go live to connect with your friends and followers right now. When you're done, live stories disappear.
* Send disappearing photos and videos, text messages and posts from your feed to groups and friends with Instagram Direct.
* Watch stories and live videos from the people you follow in a bar at the top of your feed.
* Discover stories, photos and videos you might like and follow new accounts on the Explore tab.
* Enable Handoff to switch between your Apple Watch and your iPhone.

I love using some of these apps. Google maps was already on my phone when I bought it so I didn’t need to download it. I used to use Pandora before it even had an app. Pandora is OK when it introduces you to similar music your already listening to. I love my YouTube app and how I can upload videos made on my phone to my channel. I also have the Facebook messenger app although I don’t always use it. I do have instagram and love to see the cool pictures people post on there.

I’m really glad that Pocket Mortys finally got released, and I’m happy to see it on top of this Top ten free iOS apps list. 🙂 I’ve been looking forward to it ever since they announced it.
On the other hand, it saddens me that Messenger for Facebook is still a thing. They should have kept it integrated within the Facebook app. Now it’s just another RAM consuming leech with no added functionality whatsoever.

  3. LaurittaB says:

I’m pleased to see that I’ve used about half of these apps. They did well when they developed the messenger app. It’s small and clean. It would be great if they could make the main Facebook platform a lot smaller for use on a mobile.I do keep installing and later deleting the main Facebook app. On the one hand I’d like to have it, and on the other, I find the app is too big and too greedy.

  4. jahden says:

I have almost all of these apps. I can see why they are popular. Snapchat, Facebook and YouTube are my favorite apps to use. I’ve never played the #1 choice on this list but I’ll probably go download it now just to see if it’s worth the #1 spot.

  5. jlawson23 says:

I’ve used the vast majority of these, and can certainly recommend most of them. I’m not sure what I’d do without Messenger and Pandora. I’m very surprised to see slither.io on this list. I know agar.io is popular, but I hadn’t heard much about slither.io. I will certainly have to give it a shot after seeing it listed here. I also didn’t realize Spotify is so popular. I haven’t been able to warrant trying it since Pandora fills most of my music needs, but, again, with its popularity, I might have to give it a try, as well.

Pokemon GO is insane, I’ve had a great time walking around my local area finding new Pokemon. Its gotten so big in my city that police have actually issued warnings about being careful when you’re playing the game as to you don’t get yourself in any trouble due to not being aware of your surroundings. Oh well, at least it gets people outside!

    • wanderer says:

I agree that it is insane! LOL I do agree that it gets people outside, and may I add that it is getting adults to interact with their kids. Something you don’t see much of today! I have seen parents out riding their bikes with their kids, on the Great Pokemon expedition!
Ahhh, the memories of my two boys growing up with Pokemon, and now enjoying it with their little ones, at a stepped up level!

  7. JGunterman says:

Pokemon Go is a literal phenomenon unlike anything I’ve ever seen. I recently went to a concert and before the concert started, pretty much everyone around us was playing the game. It’s insane, but I’m happy there’s an app that’s bringing people together.

  8. Lamb0 says:

I only use three of the apps listed here: Facebook, YouTube and Google Maps. But it’s not like I always use them. The one that I use the most of the three is YouTube. That’s because my apps are mostly games and ebook readers. I don’t play Pokemon go because my device doesn’t seem to be compatible with it. Although I heard that Pokemon Go should be working on my device. I don’t know what the problem is and I’m too busy with my other apps to bother knowing.
